What qualifications do your interpreters have?

H.Ferr interpreters must either be native speakers of the foreign language or have native fluency in the foreign language. They must also display native fluency in English.

In addition to fluency in at least two languages, our interpreters are specially trained to interpret both medical and legal terminology. They also receive training on HIPAA regulations and they all sign a Code of Ethics. Click here for a copy of our Code of Ethics (106KB pdf). If your industry requires unique interpretation skills, let us know. We will work with you to make sure our interpreters have additional preparation specific to your needs.

How far ahead do I need to schedule an appointment?

While we appreciate as much advance notice you can give us, we do our best to get an interpreter to you promptly no matter when you need one. We recognize that many appointments are scheduled at the last minute and, because of our large staff and our experienced scheduling team, we welcome the opportunity to send an interpreter to even a short-notice appointment. We can generally have an interpreter to your location in as little as 30 minutes. We are a 24 hours a day and 7 days a week business!

H.Ferr Consulting services clients throughout Wisconsin. We service everything from Home Visits to attorney's offices to Hospitals and Clinics around the state.

What information do I need to have when I call to schedule an appointment?

We will need the date, time and location of your appointment. We will also ask for the client/patient name’s name and the name of the responsible party. In addition, if you have any special requests please let us know. Always willing to accomodate to any special requests!

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

Please notify us as soon as possible if an appointment is canceled. If the cancellation is received less than 24 hours of the set appointment time, the minimum two-hour charge will be invoiced.
